My Great Home- Borrowed TIPS & TRICKS- Spring Outside to check your home

Spring is just around the corner. It really doesn't look like it but it'll be here before you know it.
Spring is the perfect time to inspect your home and property and make any necessary repairs or preparations for the summer months. To start do a general visual inspection of your home and yard.

Did you know? Once all the snow has melted away and your safely able to go out onto your roof. Clear off any debris. Check all the gutters and clean them out if needed.

Did you know? If you have a shingled roof, look for missing or loose shingles or flashing and repair those spots. If you have a metal roof, check the coating and re-coat if necessary.

Did you know? You should check all your nearby trees to to see if they may pose a threat to your roof. If so, get out there and trim any branches now or remove any trees that may potenially cause damage to your home.

Did you know? You should Inspect your fences, railings & definatley check all skirting around your home. Your skirting is so important, it keeps pests out from under your home and helps keep your home cooler in the summer.

Did you know? You should Inspect and replace your homes siding if visible cracks or damaged panels are found. Always nice to do a spot wash as well, if needed.

Did you know? You should Inspect all your windows and screens. Repair any damaged screens. Wash screens and windows. Re-Install.

Did you know? You should check the underside of your home for damage, debris collection or animal nesting situations and make needed repairs.
